Download the launcher

Install the SWG Hardcore launcher, create your account, and patch straight into the galaxy — on Windows or Linux.

Windows

Download for Windows (.exe)

Download & run the installer.
Create an account (or log in) inside the launcher.
Let it verify your game files, then hit Play.

Linux BETA

Download for Linux (.AppImage)

A self-contained AppImage that manages its own Wine and game install — no system setup, no sudo. The first time you hit Play it downloads Wine automatically (one-time, a few minutes).

Download the AppImage with the button above.
In a terminal in your downloads folder, make it runnable and start it:

mv "SWG Hardcore Launcher"*.AppImage swghardcore.AppImage
chmod +x swghardcore.AppImage
./swghardcore.AppImage
```
Prefer clicking? Right-click the file → Properties → Allow executing file as program, then double-click.
Log in (or create an account), let it install the game files, then hit Play. The first launch sets up Wine for you — you'll see “Downloading Wine runtime…”, then the game starts.

Requirements: 64-bit Linux desktop · ~6 GB free space (game + Wine) · a GPU with Vulkan drivers recommended (falls back to software rendering). If it won't start, install your distro's fuse package, or run it with ./swghardcore.AppImage --appimage-extract-and-run. Hit a snag? Post in the Discord.
